Posted by Richard on June 15th, 2010 When my parents moved to their waterfront house this march, they left the house to me. They said I could do anything with it now that they are retired and found a place for their relaxation. I and my fiancé decided that this will be the house we will live in after our wedding day. Before we move, we looked around the old home and think of ways to renovate our home and bring it back to its old glory. Marcus as very interested in putting fixed awnings to give the house a whole new look. At first I was hesitating because I wanted the house to retain its former look. But when he reasons that it would be for the better use, especially when the rainy season comes, I was convinced.
We contacted an awning shop on the west coast, and gave us suggestions on where to put the awnings the will work best for our home. When it was finally attached, I was surprised at how modern our home’s look is. Marcus and I both admired the awnings. Our home retained that cozy feel I was used to, but somehow, this place looks like new. It’s a good way to cherish a memory and create new ones with a new style!
Posted by Richard on June 14th, 2010 A few years ago, I had been stubborn about brushing my teeth. That is until I met a dentist, it annoyed me a lot the way he always smiles and shows how white and good his teeth was. I never knew that he became our family’s most trusted dentist. Family dentistry is considered as our line of defense against tooth problems. They really care about how we care for our teeth, with drawings and diagrams to “Make their point”. Well this particular dentist has been a good friend and my confidant when it comes to may “personal” teeth problems. He told me to get a brace which I most adamantly refused.
He just smiled his usual smile and told me about Invisalign clear braces. He said it won’t affect my “looks”. In fact, it would help me in the long run. After his explanation (no I don’t need diagrams or drawings for this one) I finally understood his point. I agreed and got myself this “near invisible bracers”. It doesn’t get in the way of my social contacts with people and some friends actually said they like it. Having someone to talk about these kinds of problems is really easier. It’s a good thing I have a good dentist and a good friend, all in one package.
Posted by Richard on June 9th, 2010 My family is making a big move from one country to another. This means to say that we would have to dispose some of our big furniture and other things in the house that are too big and too heavy freighting them will cost a fortune.
For furniture it was easy to get rid of them. We had a garage sale for three days and was able to recover at least some of the major cost of the price for those that were sold out. The hardest part to dispose of was our 3 sets of Used HP computer desktops and accessories. They were outdated and we were pretty sure that even the kids would not want to have these in their homes.
One of my Dad’s friends had the same plight two weeks ago. He recommended we visit this website that sold HP Parts and they would also assist us looking for a buyer for our used computers. That solved our predicament. Before we were to transfer our old computers were already gone and disposed of plus we had the extra cash needed for that great start in a different world.
Posted by Richard on June 7th, 2010 Our office holds mini-parties to help the employees de-stress after a busy month. We all look forward to these parties for it would mean free food, booze and the company of some of the greatest people. The guys that organized the party wanted it to be different this time so they had a theme for the coming party. They declared the party to be a “make a statement” party. They wanted us to be creative with the costume so they had prizes lined up for the best dressed.
I did not have the time to brainstorm about the costume because I was still rushing the month-end report that my boss was asking from me. However I did not want to be left out for I know everyone would be making an effort to dress up so I just wracked my brains for ideas. I was about to give up when I remembered having funny t shirts that made quite a commotion in the office when I wore one to work one day.
I searched for it in my cabinet however I could not find it. Good thing I remembered that I ordered it online so I searched for the site where I bought t shirts and was happy that they could deliver the shirt in as little as 4 days because the party was fast approaching. The shirt was delivered right on time and I even got a special mention during the party and a prize to take home!
Posted by Richard on June 3rd, 2010 I wanted to go on a vacation after working so hard for the past year. I knew I deserved it and so does my wife. So I went online to check on vacation packages. I was choosing between going to the Caribbean and going on a European tour. I checked the rates and see if we could afford to travel in luxury or go on a budget. After going through the possible expenses for the trip, I saw that I could afford it if we do it on a budget. However I really wanted this trip to be a luxurious for I mean it as a gift to myself and my wife. So I checked around for options and the idea came to me of the possibility to sell old gold jewelry to get some cash.
I do have some old rings that I could dispose of since I don’t think my son would want to wear them anyway. So I looked for a place to where I could sell diamond jewelry within the city however I felt that they appraised it for a low value so I searched online for a shop or a company that could buy it at a higher value. I was happy when I found it and they did give me a higher appraisal for my jewels. I got the check after a few days and we are now on our way to a luxurious European holiday!

Posted by Richard on May 26th, 2010 I have been doing advertising since I got off from college. Since I started, it has always been all about the money, living my dream and the creativity. Advertising as known to many is the lifeblood of the media industry and no one knows that better than advertisers. Being one, I always make it to a point that my work should sell. I don’t make some crap that would just slip off people’s mind and not earn money at all. It sounds obsessive but that is how passionate I am with my job.
I take clients from all forms of services and products. I don’t care what they do for as long as I get to sell them with my creative mind, that’s all that matters. Some of them I did not even get to use myself. Until this one client that I recently accepted. They specialize on touch free restrooms. And it suddenly dawned on me that it is about time that I advertise something I believe in and so before making the work done I made sure I can attest to what I sell and I did. The hand dryers they sell were awesome. The waterless urinals? Hard to let go of. That is one instance in my long career that I could say I did a great job.
Posted by Richard on May 25th, 2010 Cleanliness is the best policy. This should be the golden rule in every business establishment. Business is never too easy to run because of the fact that it can be quite complicated. With a lot of things to take care of like money, supplies, consumers and employees. Business owners tend to forget the most essential thing, and that is cleanliness. One reason may be because it is an additional expense that is why it could be neglected at times.
Let me tell you this, cleanliness is essential and never an expense. So, to start out a business it is important to put janitorial supplies on the priority list. Every entrepreneur must remember that how your establishment appears to your clients reflects the kind of service you provide. In purchasing such supplies you need one that provides security not only to your clients but your employees as well.
According to my research I found this service provider that ensures safety supplies. Not only that, the most important thing is that it can save you money. What else would any businessman prefer but one that brings out profit. So you better try my recommendation if you don’t want to find yourself out of business.
Posted by Richard on May 24th, 2010 My family, particularly my grandparents still wants to hear news and latest updates of what’s happening locally and globally. Because of their age, they have difficulties of hearing and seeing. It is our task to pass on what we heard from the news. We told them not to expect news on Saturday and Sunday due to other TV station’s scheduled programs. Old yet wise. “Is there no news on the radio or newspaper”? They won, they’re right. Often times we’re jaded. The circulation of the news is sometimes predictable.
Our grandparents were also bored of the same news topics delivered to them until my cousin introduced the Current Events News to us! A website that carries news and current events that makes everyone updated. It has lots of topics to choose from. Articles are directly linked from the source website. Oldies can surely relate to the topics. Religion views and matters, other events to watch – are the topic I think would interest them the most.
They are grateful for even if they’re old, they can still get information’s and news anytime in the house through this web. I hope everyone will be like them, open and willing to know about things, excited to hear news and patiently waiting for the information by any means.
Posted by Richard on May 17th, 2010 Our bathroom needed that long-awaited renovation or remodeling. So, my husband and I went to one of the biggest hardware chain in Clearwater. One lane was all about bathrooms fix-ins, toilet bowls, bath tubs, showers, tiles, granite tops, sinks, cabinets and everything any common bathroom has. Yes, I said common and that was a bit disappointing on my part.
Peter would grab whatever he could get his hands on in there – impatient and just wanted to have the bathroom done. I said, give me 2 more days. I want those uniquely crafted cabinets and there are many cabinet designers Clearwater area, I am so sure of that and I will find what I want.
I searched the net and found an interesting site that offers hand-made, custom-design cabinets fit for me. I just know it. I rushed to their showroom and was blown away by their model bathroom. Impulsively, I hired them and the wait was well worth it!
Our master’s “bathroom” is one of my favorite places in the whole house. It makes me feel so relaxed that everytime I go out of it, there is a smile on my face. Talk about being in a “comfort” room. It does live up to the expectation, and who’s to thank for that? You! Next stop, kitchen design ideas, ok?
