Hoping To Sell Some Old Coins

Posted by Richard on January 31st, 2010

I hope to sell old coins at the big silver and gold show that is being held at the conference center downtown. I started collecting and selling old silver coins when I was just ten years old. My grandfather got me hooked and he passed down his collections to me when he died. He knew that I would continue to grow his coin collections and also sell old coins that I did not need along the way.

I know how to handle selling old silver coins to other collecting savvy people. I remember watching a little boy try and sell a few old coins that he had somehow gotten a hold of and many of the collectors knowing full well that they were valuable were trying to take advantage of him. I stepped in and informed him and his mother that what they had were some very sought after coins that are worth a lot of money and they should research them before trying to sell them.

I guess that with my grandfather’s help, I was taught properly how to determine the worth of a coin before just taking it to a dealer and asking them to buy it. If this little boy and his mother do some looking in to the coins they have, they will discover that they could make thousands of dollars off of them.

The Seminar On SEO Marketing Discussed Link Building

Posted by Richard on January 13th, 2010

I have been looking forward to this conference for the last six months. I have recently started up a website that coincides with my store that sells handmade jewelry. I knew that there were lots of sites out there that did the same thing, but was told by my friends that I just needed to learn how to get my site ranking better than all the other ones and I should start with link building.

So, when I saw the brochure for this conference that was supposed to explain SEO marketing, and it listed link building as one of the topics that they would be discussing, I knew that I needed to attend it. I think that I had to be one of the first ones signed up for the class since when I walked in, I was told to sit at table one. The speaker was a well known SEO marketing genius and he had everyone’s attention when he was speaking.

I took notes on every subject that he talked about including the hour he spent on discussing link building, the different types of link building and how extremely important that it was to the success of websites ranking well on the search engines. It was the best eight hours and two hundred dollars that I have ever spent.

My Storm Doors Are Wrought Iron

Posted by Richard on January 13th, 2010

I had to choose what kind of storm doors to put on our new house, the contractor told me that they needed to make sure they were ordered in time. I looked through tons of his books that had different types of storm doors in them but could not find the right ones. I turned to my computer and was able to find the prettiest wrought iron doors that you have ever seen and just knew that they were what I wanted.

I called the contractor in the morning and told him that I had made a decision on the storm doors but that I did not find them in any of his books. I told him that I had chosen wrought iron doors and gave him the name of the company’s site where he could find them. He informed me that wrought iron doors were going to cost quite a bit more than what was budgeted but I gave him the go ahead to order them anyway.

I figured that since my husband had left the decision making up to me that he would just have to deal with a little extra expense here and there. I figured that all in all the total cost of the house would not matter once it was finished.

The Poweredge Servers Only Lasted About Seven Years

Posted by Richard on January 4th, 2010

The last time that our company had to replace the poweredge servers, it cost way too much. I think that we really thought that they would last for at least ten to twenty years. I believe that it has only been about seven years that the dell repair guy has suggested replacing them, or the repair costs could be really high.

I would love to find some used servers that have been refurbished, the kind that have been cleaned up and are like new, but not with a new price tag. If the dell repair man is correct, those kinds are out there but you have to do some searching to find them. I decided to call around and see if any of the many local computer shops had some used poweredge servers and I could not find any that did.

I turned to the internet, which I had put off because I did not want to wait on the poweredge servers to be shipped, I wanted them now. I was so happy to find an online company that had the poweredge servers, refurbished at great prices and they would ship them overnight, for a little extra charge. I am hoping that since I ordered servers that were bigger than the last ones, they will last more like the ten to twenty years that we need them to.
