Cannabis seeds have been the subject of human consumption since pre-historical days. During the twentieth century it was widely used for recreational and religious purposes. Subsequently it became accepted by the medical scientists all over the world who wanted to give relief to their patients suffering from traumatic pains. A recent international research reveals that around four percent of the people in the world use cannabis seeds.

While there has been numerical rise of consumers using cannabis in the recent years, its use has been prohibited under law in most of the countries in the world. In United States itself use of weed seeds has been prohibited under laws of the land in most of the states. Only eight states have laws favoring its use and 4 others have some symbolic laws permitting the use of cannabis seeds. However, the fact remains that use of cannabis is prohibited in most parts of the globe and some of the administrative authorities have set up quite stringent laws regulating the same.

Historical evidence is there that marijuana seeds were used even during the Neolithic ages. While these seeds were in use in Romania it was widely used in India and Nepal by the Hindus. The specimen of the herb they used were known as “Ganjika or Ganja”. The cannabis could influence a person quite dramatically. All said and done it is quite evident that cannabis seeds have been in use for centuries and mostly used by people to go into a trance.
